Demon Cleaner - Self Titled (IMPORT) (CD) Cover Art Demon Cleaner - Self Titled (IMPORT) (CD)

Rooted in the classic punk of the 80s, influenced by the California sound from the coast to the desert, and still unique in mixing its components to the perfect consistence. DEMON CLEANER can be described as heavy, fuzzy rock n' roll with influences from bands ranging from the 60's & 70's to todays bands like FU MANCHU, NEBULA, KYUSS, MONSTER MAGNET & QOTSA, etc, etc.

Demon Cleaner - The Freeflight (IMPORT) (CD) Cover Art Demon Cleaner - The Freeflight (IMPORT) (CD)

The very first listen to the Demon Cleaner CD made me think of 3 bands ...not in any order but all present...Stooges, Mudhoney and Monster Magnet...but it has a lot more to it than that.

Rooted in the classic punk of the 80s, influenced by the California sound from the coast to the desert, and still unique in mixing its components to the perfect consistence, "The Free-Flight Disco Dome" creates the most relaxed fun-filled atmosphere for its listener.

Dozer - Call it Conspiracy (IMPORT) (CD) Cover Art Dozer - Call it Conspiracy (IMPORT) (CD)

Call it Conspiracy is the third album from Sweden’s Dozer. The album is produced by Chips K. (The Hellacopters, Sahara Hotnights) and recorded in the legendary Polar Studio (Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, ABBA!!).

Like the previous split album with Unida released in 1998 and the two albums on Man's Ruin released in 2000 and 2001, Call it Conspiracy is packed with heavy rock´n´roll. References like Queens of the Stone Age and Soundgarden can be mentioned. The band has taken a great step forward and recorded a heavy rock masterpiece, call it a Badmotorfinger for the new millenium if you wish!

Ridge - A Countrydelic and Fuzzed Experience in a Colombian Supremo (IMPORT) (CD) Cover Art Ridge - A Countrydelic and Fuzzed Experience in a Colombian Supremo (IMPORT) (CD)

If you like bands Lowrider, Astoqueen, Fu Manchu and the like then this one is worth buying. Pretty much sums up the term Stoner rock I would say.

Since Fu Manchu went for less fuzz and more variation in guitar tone on King of The Road and California Crossing, I recommend Ridge to anyone who wanted another album that feels more like The Action Is Go/ Eatin' Dust.

Basically in the same vein as Dozer and Demoncleaner (not surprising since it was recorded by the same producer in the same studio), but if you like these bands, chances are you'll like this. And the riff of the year just may be the one right after the chorus in "Fuelle". I was listening to that on headphones the other day while "working", and I nearly foot-tapped myself right out of my chair.

Various Artists - Molten Universe Vol. 2 (IMPORT) (CD) Cover Art Various Artists - Molten Universe Vol. 2 (IMPORT) (CD)

Time for the second compilation from the folks at Molten Universe. Volume 1 had only Swedish bands, but on Volume 2 there´s also contributions from the rest of Scandinavia ('cept for Denmark) and even a band from Belgium. A few of the songs are exclusive to this compilation, others can either be found on demos, 7” vinyls or fullength albums.

This is one of the heaviest rock compilations I have heard in a while. 16 bands, all from either Sweden, Finland, Norway and Belgium...all balls out rock and one of my favorite mix comps I can remember, and that is saying a lot for me because I usually hate comps.

Something to be aware of...
By default, the search results include titles from The Archive. This will often give the impression that we don't do a very good job of keeping our titles in stock. This is not the case! Most of our 3,500+ active catalog titles are restocked regularly. It's the 7,500+ archived titles that are "unavailable". Use the search refinement options or do more specific searches if you're seeing too many "unavailable" items. Also, results are sorted by date with the newest releases at the top. Again, you can use the search refinement options to change this.

  • Refine by Category > All Else will hide archived titles and only show active catalog titles. (only available when there are enough search results to warrant it)
  • Sort By and Refine By Record Label Provide many options for more specific search results.
