Lowrider - Ode to Io (Deluxe Edition) (IMPORT) (CD)

German import! This is the deluxe jewel case edition that features four bonus tracks taken from the Nebula/Lowrider Split.

Many bands have tried to imitate the re-arrival of cosmic heaviness pioneered by Kyuss and Fu Manchu, but Lowrider is the first band after these legends to make the new sound completely their own. Somehow, they have assimilated and then transcended the massive riff-rock of their forebears, becoming the first and ultimate expression of the new generation of stoner/groove.

Riff rock, Desert influenced full of heavy chugging riffs and tuned down Sabbath riffs. Long time Kyuss fans- 'Lowrider take off right where they left off with their fuzzed out guitars and doom grooves that remind me a little of Monster Magnet, but mostly of the raw energy that Kyuss had going for them.

Nebula/Lowrider - Split CD (CD)

Artwork by Arik Roper!

Eight songs, including the first all-new Nebula release since Let it Burn, and Lowrider's first release after the song which introduced them to the world on Welcome to MeteorCity.

This forty-minute, eight-song split EP pairs Southern California trio Nebula with sludgy Swedish quartet Lowrider. Nebula builds its tracks from quiet introductions, shaking the earth with dueling guitar solos, fluid drumming and memorable choruses. No less punishing, Lowrider's simple, oozing riffs recall the slow groove of Black Sabbath.

TIP: By default, the search results include titles from The Archive. This will often give the impression that we don't do a very good job of keeping our titles in stock. This is not the case! Most of our 3,500+ active catalog titles are restocked regularly. It's the 7,500+ archived titles that are "unavailable". Use the search refinement options or do more specific searches if you're seeing too many "unavailable" items. Also, results are sorted by date with the newest releases at the top. Again, you can use the search refinement options to change this.

  • Refine by Category > All Else will hide archived titles and only show active catalog titles. (only available when there are enough search results to warrant it)
  • Sort By and Refine By Record Label Provide many options for more specific search results.
