"Wow! We’ve got some off-the-wall underground, proggy yet messy, uh… gee I have no idea what the heck this is. The closest thing I can say is maybe it’s indie/prog with a little bit of grind and math metal? The throat wrecking screaming gets interspersed with a spoken word sort of yell, at times reminding me of The Locust. If you’re familiar with them, then you know how much they piss people off by just making music, which is always a plus here. Don’t forget, the word “intolerable” is a positive description! Also noted, most of my favourite singers can’t sing, which is why early Celtic Frost kicked so much ass! So this is an artistic mess of goofing around with jazz runs and jamming some melodic and catchy riffs into those attention deficit disorder length songs."
Way Too Loud!

"Montgomery, Alabama’s El Chupa Cobras play a rather furious, head spinning style of heavy rock that will pass you by if you don’t focus in rather quickly. They draw on metal, punk, indie and just plain noise. The styles are often times mixed together to such a point that it’s slightly difficult to distinguish as to where one style ends and another begins. Their approach is most often presented in short bursts that assault your ears at a vicious pace although they do seem in control. The energy level of this band almost always stays towards a high level as they frequently fly, twist and rip though the material. If you can center your ears fast enough then you might realize that beyond the chaos there actually is a great deal of rhythm at the heart of this band’s approach. The writing definitely has peaks and builds to and from them yet that’s not always very obvious. There were a couple of times where I thought they repeated some tones or twists, but it was only a few times and it was fairly brief."

"It’s certainly not a sing along in the shower style of music, but then again I wouldn’t want to hear myself sing in the shower or anywhere else. Instead it’s a bash at your senses style of music that’s rather harsh at times, but it will sure keep you on your toes."
