"Available for the first time outside their home of Japan, this 39-minute, six song album contains elements contained on all their previous efforts. Its all here: the heavy rumble, exquisite beauty, and sheer kick-out-the-jam-ness. Cover art cleverly spoofs Nick Drake's Bryter Layter. Packaged in a digipak designed by SoMa (Stephen O'Malley)."
"What gives this release distinction over their other works is that it encompasses the wide variety of styles Boris have claimed as their own, rather than focus on one particular theme. What that entails is some droning doom, manic garage rock, and classic rock jams, all with a raw production. It’s a great album for two reasons. One, it’s a solid piece of work. And second, you can use it as a stepping stone for their other material, finding an album that matches the tracks you like more."
"The songs are similar in style to Heavy Rocks, with regular song lengths and a 70s rock style. Although these are a tad more emotive, and not all upbeat rockers. There's a couple that are slower, almost morose sounding."
