The Archive lists most of the Vinyl Records, CDs, DVDs, T-shirts, Posters, (etc) that have been removed from All That is Heavy over the course of time. Items get removed from All That is Heavy for various reasons but it's usually because they go out of print and are simply not available to us anymore.

The Vinyl Records, CDs, DVDs, T-shirts, Posters, (etc) listed in The Archive are not available for purchase anymore. We just thought it would be fun for our customers to look back in time and see all the cool stuff that we used to sell. The Archive exists for informational purposes only. The Archive is a work in progress and is not a complete list of every item that we've ever sold, but it is very comprehensive nonetheless. The Archive is testament to the fact that most titles that we sell are limited edition and do become unavailable very quickly in most cases.

1000mods - Liquid Sleep (Color) (IMPORT) (7 inch)

12 minutes of fuzzed-out riff bliss marked with extended instrumental sections and the occasional bit of Echoplex shenanigans from this Greek stoner four piece.

1000mods - Super Van Vacation (Color) (IMPORT) (2LP)

Limited edition of only 200 hand numbered copies on 180gr. translucent red vinyl. Deluxe gatefold sleeve.

Fuzz abounds on the Billy Anderson produced full length debut by Greek traditional stoner rockers 1000mods. The Chiliomodi four-piece made a splash late in 2009 with the well-riffed Liquid Sleep 7”, and they follow much the same course on the 10-track Super Van Vacation, nodding at desert rock while keeping a looseness in the material that speaks to a love of jamming. The Orange-amped guitars of Giannis and George are expectedly thick and lay down solid riffs throughout for drummer Labros and bassist/vocalist Dani to follow. Tones are dialed in thick and full, and Dani’s vocals cut through well but never dominate the guitars, which are clearly intended as the focus.

They’ve pretty much got stoner rock down, it just might take a few times through Super Van Vacation for listeners to fully realize it. For its utter lack of pretense and the Eurostoner homage it pays, 1000mods’ debut sets a positive course for the band to follow. There is growth yet to be undertaken but the four-piece have their hearts and their amps in the right place and they know how to hone in on a serious groove.

13th Floor Elevators - Psychedelic Sounds Of... (IMPORT) (CD)

Special digi-pack version. Limited to 1500 copies. Cool packaging and comprehensive liner notes.

Featuring the yelping vocals and visionary, occasionally demented lyrics of Roky Erickson, the 13th Floor Elevators were one of the original acid-rock bands. Formed in Texas in the mid-60s, the Elevators started as a garage rock outfit, scoring their one and only modest national hit with "You`re Gonna Miss Me." While Erickson`s loopy persona, along with Tommy Hall`s odd "jug" percussion, were the band`s most distinguishing features, several members of the group`s original lineup contributed strong material to their albums. Although these inconsistent efforts sometimes wander off into a cloudy haze, they also include sturdy folk-rock tunes and driving psychedelic rockers. Trips to San Francisco established the group as up-and-coming underground favorites, but Erickson`s drug problems led to the singer`s commission to a state mental hospital in the late `60s an ordeal from which he has never fully recovered.

16 - Bridges to Burn (CD)

Enduring, seminal and nihilistic to the core – California’s 16 have reformed and bounced back with the most intense, bleak and powerful album of their lengthy career. There’s no optimism here, throughout this awesome sludge-packed dirty affair Cris Jerue and Co. fist-fuck their way through 12 vignettes of how shit life can be. In fact, the titles alone sum up the mood of this album. The soundtrack to a life of living in the gutter? You bet!

From Cris Jerue's antagonistic caterwauls in scorching opener "Throw in the Towel" it's absolutely evident that SoCal noiseniks -16- have returned with a vengeance after a seven-year hiatus. Their previous album, 2002's Zoloft Smile, hardly prepared the listener for the updated animosity felt on Bridges to Burn. Jerue doesn't use his seething clean vocals as much as on previous albums, preferring a more direct approach to voluntary laryngitis. An updated production with rare Rwake-like guitar solos and metronomic destructo beats from returning drummer Jason Corley, Bridges to Burn is the sound of a rejuvenated band ready to take on all comers with Unsane-esque bloodied fists.

California crossover sludge-meisters 16 have been plying their trade since the early '90s, but their output has been sporadic. Bridges to Burn is their first full-length release since 2003. The music on Bridges to Burn is driven by Bobby Ferry's guitars. His thick and heavy riffs are the backbone supporting the behemoth that is 16. Sludgy downtuned doom is sharpened by sharp hardcore edges and periodic breakdowns. Cris Jerue's vocals are hardcore yells, delivered with maximum volume and anger. His self-loathing lyrics aren't exactly puppies and sunshine, with lines like "this is the worst day of my life," but his misery is our pleasure. Bridges to Burn is a welcome return by 16.

16 - Curves That Kick (CD)

Curves That Kick, the long out-of-print debut album from SoCal quartet 16, threw the doors open to a new, post-Helmet/AmRep sound of discordance and discontent. Originally released on Pushead’s Bacteria Sour label in ’93, the album exposed the nascent beginnings of the soon-to-be infamous quartet. As Curves That Kick proved then and underscores now in its remixed and remastered form, 16 is its own unique, belligerent human animal.
